OUR MAKING

The world is moving in a direction where soulless things no longer capture our interest.

How is our brand? Which are our processes? There are multiple ways to go from point A to point B; to go from an idea to a finished product.

Without dwelling on the idea per se, we can define ourselves as a brand that seeks organic shapes, that prefers soft textures and that is totally focused on the search for color and its combinations. This has led us to develop our own prints and try to awaken emotions. Are we a brand of printed garments? Definitely not. If they make a big part of who we are? Yes, because if they capture your attention, this will surely last in your memory. And we love it.

In the morning I dedicate myself to everything that responds to the order of the company. Administration, suppliers, order of ideas, communication, workshops, tests. In the afternoons, on the other hand, I investigate and try to shape this search using different techniques. Watercolors, pencils, markers, gouache, crayons, pastels -and two more in process, that you will soon see 😉

I do it on papers of different textures and uses, on fabrics and even on rarer materials, too. When I get colors or shapes that I like, I scan them and start working on them. Sometimes, I play with these images evolving or modifying what I had previously done. Others, I just create a repeating pattern.

When the print is ready, we make printing tests on different previously selected fabrics (since the same print can look very different on each fabric).

We work on two types of fabrics and either one carries an intention. The first type is recycled fabrics (these offer excellent textures and have been made with previous waste that, if not given new life, would contaminate our lands and oceans). The second type are 100% natural and organic, that is, they do not have synthetic elements in their composition or chemical components, which makes them responsible with nature and completely biodegradable.

Once the processes of choosing fabrics and prints are finished, we buy and print a VERY LIMITED amount of each fabric, so that each product is a LIMITED EDITION, a hallmark that characterizes us.

This means that the units are very few and once we reach the proposed quantities, we stop producing each product. This guarantees exclusivity and prevents excess stocks. (More about this in our post titled “Slow down”).

The garments made and printed in Lebredo are unique. They may be similar elsewhere, but never the same.
