In the brand life process, it is inevitable to ask: Why do we do it and what do we look for?

For those who are fond of fashion -and also for those who aren’t so much- it is common to hear about slow fashion. However, most don’t know what this concept refers to.

Every time we choose a design, we also choose the number of units that will be made. We try to have only one or two units of each garment to be able to order online, but due to production speeds it may be necessary to make a pre-order many times, which will take a few more days to arrive. In this way, we make sure to manufacture only those garments that have already been purchased, and not generate stocks.

In addition, we know and care for the people involved in our clothing, who do their work by hand. This way, they do not need to do it senselessly -at excessive speeds and quantities-, to later keep the garments stored.

We don’t only do this for ourselves, but because we want to be part of a society with healthier consumption habits, and this is our way of promoting them.

While one can walk down the street, see an exaggerated offer -in a shop window or on the mobile phone-, and enter and buy it instantly, putting the immediacy and price on the top means that nothing in this action has been correctly analyzed and valued. This is how a big part of the world’s population usually accumulates in their wardrobes clothes that they haven’t used yet, that they don’t use, or that in a short time has already lost it’s shape and/or color. These clothes are manufactured for the sole purpose of being sold and without illusions behind, which makes it logical that these faults are later reflected in the garments.

At Lebredo we consider that buying a unique piece (that actually implies a sacrifice to the buyer), translates into greater care for the product and its treatment (to dress it, wash it, hang it in the closet) and in the reduction of meaningless purchases .

If you can have garments that express your character in a simple way, and that are comfortable and versatile, you will be finding a multiplicity of garments in a few, and doing good to the planet and to future generations, in addition to benefiting small businesses and workers local.

En el proceso de vida de la marca es inevitable preguntarse: ¿Por qué lo hacemos y qué buscamos? Para quien es un aficionado de la moda -y también para quien no tanto- es común escuchar actualmente hablar del slow fashion. Sin embargo, la mayoría no sabe a qué refiere este concepto, por el cual nosotros nos regimos.

Cada vez que escogemos un diseño, escogemos también la cantidad de unidades que serán confeccionadas. Intentamos tener solo una o dos unidades de cada prenda para poder ordenar online, pero por las velocidades de producción puede que muchas veces haya que hacer una pre-orden, la cual tardará unos pocos días más en llegar. De este modo, nos aseguramos de fabricar solo aquellas prendas que ya se compraron, y no generar stocks.

Además, conocemos y cuidamos a las personas involucradas en la confección, quienes trabajan a mano. Así, no necesitan hacerlo sin sentido a velocidades y en cantidades desmedidas, para luego tener las prendas guardadas.

Pero no solo hacemos esto por nosotros mismos, sino porque queremos ser parte de una sociedad con hábitos de consumo más sanos, y esta es nuestra forma de fomentarlos.

Mientras que uno puede caminar por la calle, ver una oferta exagerada en un escaparate o en su móvil, entrar y comprarlo al momento, la inmediatez y precio hacen que nada en esta acción haya sido correctamente analizado y valorado. De este modo, la clase media (y de ahí hacia arriba) en la población mundial, suele acumular en sus armarios ropa que aún no ha usado, que nunca usa, o que en poco tiempo ha perdido la forma y/o color. Esta ropa se fabrica con el único fin de venderse y sin ilusiones detrás, con lo cual es lógico que estas faltas se reflejen luego en las prendas.

En Lebredo consideramos que el comprar una pieza única y que cueste un sacrificio al comprador, se traduce en un mayor cuidado por el producto y en su trato (para vestirlo, lavarlo, colgarlo en el armario) y en la reducción de compras sin sentido.

Si puedes tener prendas que manifiesten tu carácter de una forma simple, y que sean cómodas y versátiles, estarás encontrando una multiplicidad de prendas en unas pocas, y haciendo un bien al planeta y a las generaciones futuras, además de beneficiar a los pequeños comercios y trabajadores locales.
